Laura J. Koupal joined Willoughby & Eckelberry, LLC as an associate in September 2006. Ms. Koupal primarily practices in the area of Alternative Reproductive Technology (ART) and adoption law. Specifically, she represents gestational carriers and intended parents in negotiating surrogacy contracts and obtaining Colorado Pre-Birth Orders. She also drafts and negotiates sperm and egg donation agreements and represents families interested in embryo adoption or donation. Since August 2007, she has represented families taking advantage of Colorado’s new second parent adoption legislation.

Prior to joining Willoughby & Eckelberry, Ms. Koupal practiced in the domestic relations group of Montgomery Little Soran & Murray, PC. In 2004, Ms. Koupal completed a clerkship with the Honorable Christina M. Habas of the Denver District Court. She is a member of the Colorado and Denver bar associations.
