Weiser practices in the areas of taxation, business planning, and estate planning, with a particular emphasis on the taxation of international transactions and e-commerce. Prior to joining Levin & Weiser, Mr. Weiser worked with one of the preeminent tax law firms in the Rocky Mountain region, and spent several years working in the international tax services section of a major worldwide CPA firm. The range of clients Mr. Weiser has worked with and represented is broad, from entrepreneurs and closely held businesses to individuals with net worths in excess of several million dollars and publicly held multinational corporations with market capitalizations in excess of several billion dollars.
Mr. Weiser received his J.D. from the University of Denver, where he was a member of the board of editors of the University of Denver Law Review and received a Scholastic Excellence Award in Estate and Gift Taxation. He also received his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Denver. He has published articles in the University of Denver Law Review, The Colorado Lawyer, and the Colorado Real Estate Journal, and has lectured before the CBA on such topics as partnership and international taxation. Mr. Weiser is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado at Denver, College of Business, where he teaches international taxation.
Mr. Weiser is a member of the Denver, Colorado, and American bar associations and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is also a certified public accountant and a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs.
