Identity theft is a growing concern not only for individuals but also employers.  This program examines how identity theft occurs and provides strategies for prevention and intervention. 
Our day begins with a look at the definition of identity theft, how it occurs and the applicable state and federal laww.  Our program then  moves into an examination of best and worst employer practices.  The morning concludes with a segment on how identity theft investigations are conducted in the workplace as well as when they should be conducted.  You will also learn about strategies for prevention and intervention in the workplace. 
After lunch, you will learn about the criminal aspects of identity theft and how technology is used to track down perpetrators.  Finally, our program ends with a panel presentation on how the criminal, civil and regulatory systems work together.
