Kevin Rhodes, workshop leader
Just starting your lawyering career? Disillusioned? Been displaced in a bad economy? Ready for a mid-career course adjustment? Thinking about using your legal training in a non-legal setting, or getting out of the law entirely?
If so, then this workshop is a timely chance to discover (or rekindle) your passion for the kind of work you really want to do, identify what's in the way of doing it, and begin to take concrete steps toward making it happen.
Working With Passion: Find Your Fire and Fuel It! is a fast-paced 1½ hour interactive workshop. There will be no lecture or handouts. Participants will be guided through a series of self-discovery exercises. Come prepared to reflect, write, and engage with other attendees.
Kevin Rhodes left a successful 20+ years career in private practice to pursue a creative dream. After a friend encouraged him to help others find their own career passion, he created this workshop for the Career Transition and Job Search Support Group in June 2010. Since then, he has expanded the workshop, presented it to numerous non-lawyer groups, and is finishing a book based on its ideas. With this workshop, he's thrilled to return to “where it all began.”
