Presented by the CBA and Harmony Foundation
Despite the enhanced understanding of the nature, causes, and treatment, addiction remains a misunderstood disease in society and the legal system. Whether representing a client suffering from addiction or helping a colleague, lawyers and judges can benefit from an increased understanding of the disease. This session will cover the nature of the disease of addiction, its causes, consequences, and treatment. It will also cover strategies for representing clients and helping colleagues who are impaired by addiction.
A continental breakfast will be provided.
