"Mental Health Issues in Removal Proceedings"
Speaker: Christina Fiflis, Fiflis Law LLC
Issues, pitfalls, and strategies involved with representing clients in removal proceedings with mental disabilities. Discussion will include framework from EOIR's Phase 1 of Plan to Provide Enhanced Procedural Protections to Unrepresented Detained Respondents with Mental Disorders and Matter of M-A-M-, implementation of the settlement from Franco-Gonzalez v. Holder, and practical and ethical considerations and case management strategies.
Cost: $15.00 for Immigration members, $20.00 for Non-Members. Call-in option will be $5.00.
