Do intellectual property issues arise in your practice? Do you need to know more? If you are new to IP law or need a refresher, IP Fundamentals 2009 is an ideal opportunity for you to learn more about the core areas of intellectual property and how they might come up in your practice. The morning session will feature IP specialists to help you learn what you need to know about two significant types of IP protection: patents and trade secrets. In the afternoon, our panels will introduce you to trademarks and copyrights – including the process of protecting your brand, how copyright can (and can't) protect your content, and the challenges of enforecement. Finally, we will wrap up with a panel of transactional lawyers to guide you through the, important issues to consider when intellectual property is transferred or licensed.
