“Building a Unified Colorado Water Community: The Leadership of Attorney General Duke Dunbar”
Doug Kemper, Colorado Water Congress
Many people may not be aware, but the Colorado Water Congress was originally housed in the Office of the Attorney General. AG Dunbar was instrumental in pulling the water community together in order to develop the unity of purpose to create our organization. The photo is of John Barnard, Jr. (our first Executive Director who worked for Duke) handing membership card numbers 1 and 2 to Governor McNichols and AG Dunbar. Check out the shoes! Mr. Kemper will talk about how the Water Congress got started as well as how the vision of the founders continues to play out today. He will also spend some time on 2014 legislation and ballot proposals.
