Earlier this year, the Internal Revenue Service issued proposed regulations for Internal Revenue Code Section 2704. Klaralee Charlton will present an overview of this code section and the original regulations and summarize how the proposed regulations could change how family owned businesses are valued in the future. She will also provide suggestions for how practitioners can advise clients in light of these changes.
