Carolyn Gravit connects members with a number of volunteer opportunities. If your child (or your child’s teacher) asks you to help with a law-related education project, Carolyn has materials available for use in the classroom. Material topics include Constitutional study, practice law studies and classroom mock trials. Another opportunity would be conducting pro se legal information clinics for litigants who want to represent themselves in small claims, divorce and bankruptcy courts. Spanish speaking attorneys are always needed by Metro Volunteer Lawyers as well for a Spanish only divorce clinic. Volunteers are also needed for providing court tours to school groups and to answer calls for radio and/or TV call-a-lawyer programs. Carolyn also organizes the Colorado State Mock Trial program where volunteer attorneys are needed to coach teams or serve as scoring panelists. Carolyn, and her assistant, Meghan Seck, will connect you to the volunteer opportunity of your choice. |
