Picture This: DBA Happenings



On July 18, Colorado Bar Association President Bob Truhlar made his way to downtown Denver for the first of nine regional bar visits that he will be making during his tenure as President. More than 90 Denver Bar Association members were present for a noon luncheon with Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey, and more than 200 members attended the free, three-credit afternoon CLE program. In September, Truhlar will go to La Junta on Sept. 5, and Steamboat Sept. 12. For more information, go to www.cobar.org.

DBA Seniors Golf Tournament

The Denver Bar Association Seniors Committee held their annual Seniors Golf Tournament on July 30, at The Homestead Golf Course in Lakewood. Sixteen DBA Seniors attended the afternoon event, which was preceded by lunch in the clubhouse.

The big winners of the day were Dick Harvey (first low gross), John Clough (second low gross), Dan McGrew (first low net) and Jim Voorhees (second low net).

Seniors Committee stalwart Bob Hawley (pictured below) was awarded the Senior Bar Golf Lifetime Achievement Award.


William McClearn, Jim Voorhees, Douglas Hoyt and Dick Downing braved the summer sun for a day out on the links. Voorhees received the prize for second low net.
