On May 21 at the Brown Palace Hotel, the Denver Bar Association honored those who have practiced for 50 years. This year, the DBA Seniors Committee honored 65 attorneys with food, laughs and camaraderie.

DBA YLD Events
Build a House: On August 16, the DBA YLD will be helping Neighborhood Partners. No special carpentry skills are required. It’s a great way to get a little exercise and help the community. Call Kimberlie Ryan at (303) 355-0639 by August 11 to sign up.
BARRISTERS AFTER HOURS: The July Barristers After Hours, sponsored by the DBA YLD, will be held on July 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Rock Bottom Brewery, 16th and Arapahoe. People’s Fair, June 7-8

On the weekend of June 7-8, 33 DBA attorneys and paralegals participated in the Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods 32nd annual People’s Fair. Several hundred people visited the DBA’s booth, which provided legal information and materials. To volunteer for next year, call Carolyn Ferber at (303) 824-5323.
Lawyers Have Heart

More than 375 lawyers, friends and family participated in the DBA Community Action Network’s Lawyers Have Heart 5K run on June 7. The run, which was co-sponsored by the American Heart Association, took place at Denver’s City Park and was in conjunction with the AHA’s Heart Walk.

Henry Hall Memorial Golf Tournament

On May 19, 86 members of the Denver Bar Association braved frigid temperatures and drizzling rain to participate in the 2003 DBA Henry Hall Memorial Golf Tournament at the Inverness Golf Club. Chris Little won “Individual Low Gross” in the men’s competition, and Susie Roh won for the women. Tim Kratz, Mike Romero, Edgar Neel, and Mike Donner won the team low gross (pictured top left). |
