Law Suit Day “Law Suit Day,” sponsored by the Young Lawyers Division of the DBA, once again was successful during its annual fall clothing drive. This year, the YLD received more than 300 pieces of women’s clothing and 100 pieces of men’s. The drive took place on the steps of the City and County Building on Oct. 16 and 17. Donated items will be given to help low-income and unemployed community members dress-to-impress for job interviews.

Christmas in January It’s time to plan for Christmas in January, a DBA YLD annual event that provides holiday gifts and a party for 400 Denver-area foster children. This holiday festivity will be held Jan. 18, 2003, at Denver Human Services, and the YLD needs your help with donations and volunteers. Help your client get a tax write-off before the year-end, or start the new year with a bang by asking them to donate clearance items, over-stocked inventory or slow-moving merchandise! Committee meetings will be held the second Monday of each month at the DBA offices, 1900 Grant St., Ste. 900, at noon. Please join us on Monday, Dec. 9. Seniors Roast for Mike Reidy
On October 9, more than 80 friends, relatives and co-workers of Denver attorney Mike Reidy were on hand for the annual DBA Seniors Roast. The roast, which was held at the Brown Palace Hotel in downtown Denver, provided an evening of excellent food, drink and entertainment. Denver attorneys Dick Harring, Winston Howard and Maureen Reidy Witt (Mike’s niece) were among the many people that took a few moments to entertain guests with stories from Mike’s career.
