The Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund Board has elected Howard Kenison as vice-chair. Kenison, an environmental lawyer with Lindquist & Vennum, was appointed to the 15-member board by Gov. Owens. As former Deputy AG, he successfully defended the state’s Environmental Impact Statement for the Glenwood Canyon Highway Project and has prosecuted seven Superfund lawsuits, including Rocky Mountain Arsenal.
Stephen Shapiro, managing partner at Bieging Shapiro & Burrus, has been appointed by Gov. Owens to the Utility Consumers’ Board. The board provides policy guidance to the Office of Consumer Counsel regarding rule making, legislative projects and general activities and priorities of that office.
Judge Richard Matsch has returned to his courtroom. We wish him well.
Family law attorney Sheila Gutterman received an award in November from the Women’s Vision Foundation for being "Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year." Faegre & Benson is their 2001 Corporate Advocate.

Richard M. Krumbein, an international corporate attorney in Dorsey & Whitney’s Denver office, has been appointed chair of the Cross-Border Distribution and Manufacturing Committee of the Texas-Mexico Bar Association. He will be responsible for promoting Texas-Mexico relations through business and economic development, coordinating legal seminars, and assisting companies that need advice on cross-border matters.
