Law Suit Day

Get rid of those old suits that are just taking up your closet space! The annual "Law Suit Day," sponsored by the DBA YLD, is coming to the steps of the City and County Building on Wednesday, Oct. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 12. Please donate any gently used professional clothing to help low-income and unemployed community members dress-to-impress for job interviews. Professionalism Committee member John Baker moderates as Lanny Anderson and Sherri Heckel-Kuhlmann take phone calls professionally at the June Tuesdays at the Bar Program: "Coping With the Rambo Attorney." John McMullen and Ralph Torres answer audience questions on the side. Tuesdays at the Bar begins again in September. See page 16 for program topics and a registration form.

Legal Education Committee

Additional volunteers are needed to teach some of our remaining 2000 Bankruptcy and Child Support Enforcement legal information clinics. In addition to Gove Middle School (14th and Colorado Blvd.), the DBA Legal Services Committee will offer clinics at Lake Middle School (18th & Lowell) and Montbello High School (51st and Peoria). Henry Hall Memorial Golf Tournament About 80 people signed up for the Henry Hall Memorial Golf Tournament held in June at the Red Rocks Country Club. The tournament was a huge success. See you next year!
