Law on the Mall. The Young Lawyers will join the American Bar Association in celebrating Law Day. Join in by participating in Law on the Mall (April 24-28), an annual event where the YLD and other metro area groups offer free legal services and referrals to passersby on the 16th Street Mall. Help give the public a positive impression of lawyers. Call Ron Ledgerwood, (303) 758-1090.

Happy Hour for Neighborhood Partners. Come on down to Marlowe's, 511 16th St., from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on March 22 for happy hour. Bring a carpentry tool to benefit Neighborhood Partners, a program that builds or restores homes for the less fortunate, and get two free drinks and free hors d'oeuvres.

On March 25, use those tools and lend a helping hand to the Neighborhood Partners. No special carpentry skills are required! It's a great way to enjoy the spring and help our community. Please contact Tamatha Blase at (303) 221-2715 or Tblase@earthlink.net by March 17 to sign-up.

Community Concerns Committee

Thanks to those 70 firms who hosted barrels for Roll Out the Barrels Food Drive and thanks to those who donated to help feed Denver's hungry. See page 8 for a big thank you to those who helped.

Serve on a Non-Profit Board

Now is your chance to get involved with non-profit agencies in the Denver community by participating on their boards of directors. Your involvement will establish stronger and more effective leadership that can enhance the community at large. Through the Metro Denver's Resource Center for Volunteerism and Training, many volunteering opportunities are available that can accommodate all types of schedules and commitment restrictions.
