You may have heard the acronym, but what's it all mean? The answers about Multidisciplinary Practice will be revealed at the Young Lawyers Division Annual Ethics Luncheon on Wednes-day, May 10, at 11:30 a.m. It takes place at the Denver Athletic Club, 1325 Glenarm Place. Bob Keatinge of Holland & Hart, as well as other distinguished speakers, will tell you about Multidisciplinary Practice Issues in Colorado. Two CLE credits have been applied for. YLD elections. Get involved in all those great programs the Young Lawyers division puts on like the Winetasting to Benefit the Legal Aid Foundation, Court Orientation and Bar Mart. Get involved and get on the committee's board. Law on the Mall. The Young Lawyers will join the American Bar Association in celebrating Law Day. Join in by participating in Law on the Mall (April 24-28), an annual event where the YLD and other metro area groups offer free legal services and referrals to passersby on the 16th Street Mall. Help give the public a positive impression of lawyers. Call Ron Ledgerwood, (303) 758-1090. Happy Hour for Neighborhood Partners. Come on down to Marlowe's, 511 16th St., from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on March 22 for happy hour. Bring a carpentry tool to benefit Neighborhood Partners, a program that builds or restores homes for the less fortunate, and get two free drinks and free hors d'oeuvres. On March 25, use those tools and lend a helping hand to the Neighborhood Partners. No special carpentry skills are required! It's a great way to enjoy the spring and help our community. Barristers Benefit Ball Raffle Prizes There's still time to get tickets to "A Gem of an Evening" at the 2000 Barristers Benefit Ball on April 29. This year, the ball will be held at the Adam's Mark Hotel, 1550 Court Place, Denver. All proceeds from the bejeweled evening benefit the Metro Volunteer Lawyers. As always, there will be a raffle and thousands of dollars worth of prizes that you can win. This year's grand prize is a custom-made ring by Gary Stull Goldsmith. The modern white pearl and black jade ring, with 18 karat yellow gold, is worth over $1,500. Other prizes include a restaurant package containing several gift certificates to area restaurants worth approximately $1,200, and a relaxing weekend getaway package. Community Concerns Committee Thanks to those 70 firms who hosted barrels for Roll Out the Barrels Food Drive and thanks to those who donated to help feed Denver's hungry.
