Do you think today’s students don’t know enough about the Constitution and our system of democracy? Here’s your chance to do something about it! The DBA Democracy Education Committee needs volunteers to help out for an hour or two at a Denver Public School on Sept. 15. You would follow a lesson plan and teach elementary or middle school students about the Constitution. All materials will be provided by the Public Legal Education Department. This is a new program and we would like more schools involved. Let us know if you would be interested in participating. Contact Carolyn Gravit, (303) 824-5323 or cgravit@cobar.org, or Meghan Seck, (303) 824-5303 or mseck@cobar.org if you are interested in participating in this exciting event. More information on Constitution Day is available at Law Suit Days The annual "Law Suit Days" are Oct. 12–13. Members of the Young Lawyers Division will be taking donations on the steps of the City and County Building, 1437 Bannock St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., each day. Donate gently-used professional clothing to help low-income and unemployed community members dress-to-impress for job interviews. Contact David Uhlig at uhligd@ballardspahr.com with any questions. It’s Mock Trial Time!
Volunteer to coach or judge the Denver High School mock trial teams. The Denver Mock Trial Tournament will be Feb. 9 and 10.
