Join the Denver Bar Association team "Lung Time No Sue" for the second annual "Run the Register" fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 25. It’s a mere 47 flights and 1,014 steps up the Wells Fargo Center (aka, the Cash Register Building) at 1700 Lincoln St. in downtown Denver. The event benefits the American Lung Association and raises funds for lung health issues. Lung disease is the third leading cause of death in the United States, behind cancer and heart disease. However, as the death rates of cancer and heart disease are decreasing, deaths from lung disease are increasing at an alarming rate. Join the DBA team Feb. 25 and help reverse the trend. DBA staff and friends participated last year; everyone had a great time and got motivated to get in shape. This year, we invite the Denver legal community, family and friends to join in the fun. Just go to http://www.runtheregister.com to sign up under our team name "Lung Time No Sue" (a creative name picked by one of our members). The registration fee is only $35 and you are encouraged to raise additional funds (but not required). It’s a great motivator for the new year to get in shape and relieve stress! Questions? It is held at Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, 360 Acoma St., on the third Tuesday of every month (Feb. 20) from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and at Centro San Juan Diego, 2830 Lawrence St., on the first Wednesday of every month (Feb. 7) from 5:30 to 8 p.m. No experience is necessary and dinner is provided.
