Squealing Pig Bar Review by Mindy Marks ![]()
Docket The Docket Committee gathered some of its finest members and set out to review the Squealing Pig, a small Irish pub that has been in Cherry Creek North for about five years. The committee basked in the glow of a neon sign counting down the days until St. Patrick’s Day (down to the second, to be exact) and as happy hour turned into the dinner hour (yes, we were still there), we saw the crowd change from the after-work bunch to families.
The group sampled scotch eggs, baked brie and potato skins. "The Scotch eggs were very good, and the beer selection was very British Isles," said Marshall Snider, Docket member. "There were all sorts of English brews — and cider, what’s up with that? — that I had never heard of, plus some other good imported beers. They know how to correctly build a Guinness draft, which I consider crucial to any place claiming to be an Irish pub." The happy hour specials are less-than-special with only $0.75 off all beers from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday–Friday; and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Squealing Pig is the kind place you could drive by a million times and never go in, but then you’d be missing out. Back | |||||||||
