Seniors Holiday Party

 


The Seniors Committee invites friends and colleagues to a holiday luncheon full of hot food and holiday cheer. The gathering will be Friday, Dec. 14, noon, at the DBA Offices, 1900 Grant St., 9th floor.

Court Orientation

Court Orientation is Thursday, Nov. 15, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., for newly admitted and new-to-the-area attorneys. Denver District and County Court judges and staff will be on hand to introduce you to the facilities and to provide key information about procedures and resources. The program also will include six CLE credits and one hour of ethics credit from a member of the CBA’s Ethics Committee. The cost is $38 for DBA members and $48 for non-DBA members. The Denver Regional High School Mock Trial Tournament will be Feb. 22–23 at the U.S. Bankruptcy Courthouse. Teams will be competing for a spot in the CBA’s State High School Tournament, which will be March 14–15. You are invited to score or judge one or more rounds. Constitution Day a Success!

the U.S. Constitution and government. To celebrate Constitution Day, the DBA’s Democracy Education Committee sent 33 attorney and paralegal volunteers to the following 15 Denver Public Schools: Bruce Randolph, Hamilton, Henry, Horace Mann, Rachel B. Noel, and Rishel middle schools; Bryant Webster, Centennial, Dora Moore and Slavens K–8 schools; Emerson Street School; Emily Griffith Alternative School; John F. Kennedy and North high schools; and MLK Early College. The volunteers devoted 55 classroom hours to encourage students to get involved with democracy.
