2005 Mock Trial Tournament Champions from St. Mary’s Academy.

Get Your Mock On!

Judicial and attorney volunteers are needed to serve as presiding judges (current, former or retired judges and magistrates) and scoring panelists for high school mock trial teams at the Denver Regional Tournament on Feb. 22 and 23 at the U.S. Bankruptcy Courthouse.

Attorneys and judges also are needed to serve at the CBA High School Mock Trial State Tournament on March 14 and 15 at the Larimer County Justice Center in Fort Collins.

Fifty Foster Children Officially Home

National Adoption Day was celebrated in Denver Juvenile Court on Nov. 16 with judges and magistrates finalizing the adoption of more than 50 foster children with permanent families. The occasion was marked by adoption proceedings throughout the morning at the Denver City and County Building. The Denver Bar Association was happy to be a sponsor at such a great event.

"This is truly a day for celebration, as we are uniting so many children with permanent and loving families," said Denver Juvenile Court Presiding Judge Karen Ashby.
