Run the Republic with DBA Staff!

Join the Denver Bar Association staff at the "Run the Republic" fundraising event on Feb. 24. It is an annual stair-climbing competition held in the largest building in Denver — soaring 53 stories.

"Run the Republic" raises funds for lung health issues. Lung disease is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Monies raised by this event can help stop this trend. Invite your colleagues, friends and family to join you in this challenge. Get in shape and start the new year off right by supporting a worthy cause.

Go to http://www.lungcolorado.org/RunTheRepublic to register. The registration fee is $35 and you are encouraged to raise additional funds, but this is not required.

It’s Sure to Be a Ball!

It’s time to buy tickets to the annual Barristers Benefit Ball, which will be Saturday, May 3, at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center. This year’s theme is "Celebrating Lawyers in the Emerald City." Prices as of Feb. 1: Patron Tables (tables of 10), $3,250; Patron Tickets, $275; Individual Lawyer Tickets, $165; Judicial Tickets, $120; and Young Lawyer/Nonlawyer Tickets, $100. Proceeds from the BBB go to Metro Volunteer Lawyers, which serves the Denver metro area and provides pro bono legal services to the poor.
