The Barristers Benefit Ball honorees showed off their plaques and awards before the event. From left — Attorney Terry Kelly, attorney Susan Grauer, and the first ever paralegal to be honored, Charleen Castro. They were praised for their pro bono work to benefit MVL and the Denver community.

More than 660 people attended the 2008 Barristers Benefit Ball on Saturday, May 3, at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center Hotel. The theme was "Celebrating Lawyers in the Emerald City." All the proceeds raised at the event will benefit DBA’s Metro Volunteer Lawyers, an organization that pairs pro bono attorneys with people who cannot afford legal support. Also at the event, MVL honored three outstanding legal professionals who volunteered a lot of time and energy into helping indigent clients.
