The National Association of Counsel for Children is pleased to announce Maureen Farrell Stevenson as new President/CEO. Arvada attorney Paul J. Komyatte was named Colorado State Coordinator for the Public Justice Foundation, the Washington-based national organization known for championing public interest litigation across the country. Assistant Federal Public Defender Virginia L. Grady was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The Colorado Lawyers Committee awarded Arnold & Porter’s Denver Office with the 2008 "Law Firm of the Year Award" for the third consecutive year (and fourth time since 2002) at their 30th Annual Awards Celebration. This award recognizes the significant time and effort Arnold & Porter has spent on a number of critical pro bono projects in 2008.

Chancellor Robert Coombe appointed DU Law Professor Martin J. Katz to the Sturm College of Law interim dean position. Katz joined DU Law as a faculty member in 2000. As the interim dean, he will begin immediately to lead the strategic planning process at the law school. Isaacson Rosenbaum announced the election of a new chief executive officer, Lonny Donovan. Donovan has been with Isaacson Rosenbaum for more than 28 years and is taking the CEO position so that Jon Steeler, who has served as CEO for the last eight years, may turn his attention to legal services within his areas of expertise. Kamlet Shepherd & Reichert changed its name to Kamlet Reichert. The new Web site is www.kamletlaw.com. Emily Curray, managing partner of Stern Elkind Curray & Alterman, and president of the International Network of Boutique Law Firms — Denver Chapter, is pleased to announce that Gersh & Helfrich have become members.
