Letter to the Editor ![]() To the Editor: The front page article in the Denver Bar Association’s February issue of The Docket featured recent graduates in the current downturn economy and on-campus recruiting program at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. As a matter of record, in the fall of 2008, 58 law firms, government agencies and corporations came to the Ricketson Law Building during On Campus Interviews to interview pre-screened 2Ls and 3Ls. Moreover, for 18 additional law firms (primarily out-of-state ones) who chose not to have a physical presence on the law school campus, the Career Development Center solicited and forwarded to them the résumés and cover letters of students meeting their pre-specified criteria. Therefore, a sum total of 76 potential legal employers requested applications from qualifying DU Law students during 2008 on-campus interviews. In the fall of 2007, 79 employers requested applications from DU Law. Each year, more than 15 employers sought to interview 3Ls. The OCI process typically stretches over two months. All DU Law alumni and friends who are willing to support our students by providing career advice are invited to sign up at http://law.du.edu/ACN. We will continue our efforts to assist our students and alumni through the current recession and beyond.
Sincerely,
Misae Nishikura Back | ||||||
