Seniors Golf Tournament

Despite the hot weather, the 2010 Seniors Golf Tournament was a fun and successful event held on Aug. 11 at the Homestead Golf Course in Lakewood. Seventeen people participated in the tournament and everyone enjoyed lunch in the clubhouse and a day out of the office. The winners were:

Active Bar Leader and Member Receives Award

At its July Board of Trustees meeting, the Legal Aid Foundation honored Kenzo Kawanabe for his work as founder and chair of the Foundation’s Associates Campaign for Justice. Kawanabe is stepping down after six years of inspiration and leadership. The Associates Campaign was established to further educate young lawyers about the need for civil legal aid among the poor, and to encourage their continuing financial support to meet that need. Over the life of the campaign, associates have donated an aggregate total of $143,000, making a meaningful difference in providing access to justice for those in need.
