Kimberlie Ryan, founder of Ryan Law Firm, LLC, was appointed by the Colorado Department of Revenue to the Marijuana Enforcement Division’s Medical Differentiation Working Group, which contributed to the development of retail and medical marijuana regulations for the State of Colorado. Ryan’s practice focuses on employment civil rights, with expertise in medical marijuana employment law.

Laura J. Kurzyna, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, (Judge Advocate) and Banking Law Counsel with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Denver, graduated from the United States Army War College with a Master of Strategic Studies on July 26, in Carlisle, PA.

Wells, Anderson & Race, LLC, a women-owned litigation law firm, recently celebrated its 18th Anniversary. Mary A. Wells, Sheryl L. Anderson, and Geoffrey S. Race founded the firm in 1995. The firm’s practice has focused on litigation of product liability, insurance, commercial construction, and aviation matters. Cathy Havener Greer joined the firm as an owner in 2001, and the firm’s practice expanded into the defense of employment and civil rights litigation.

In January, 2012, Holme Roberts & Owen merged with Bryan Cave and became Bryan Cave HRO. Now Bryan Cave HRO will become Bryan Cave LLP.

IN MEMORIAM

James L. Treece, 88, former United States Attorney 1969–77, died on September 7; The memorial service will be held on Nov. 2, 3:00, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Denver.
