Present at the meeting were: John Wheeler, Joyce Jenkins, John Phillips, Dave Little, Mick Mihm, Chris Buckman, Reba Nance, Julie Peterson, Michael Canges, Mike Hutchinson, Chuck Turner, Gerald Pratt, and Robin Beattie.

CBA Convention: Mick Mihm and Mike Hutchinson will be working on the program with Larry Smith of the Law Office Technology Committee to put together the joint program. Dave Little is also working with the committee for small/solo law firms to put together a program, which is anticipated to include topics such as client-lawyer relationship, docket control, billing and engagement letters.

Lawyer to Lawyer Directory: There were extensive discussions about this proposed program, to be put together by the DBA/YLD Committee. This included the pros and cons of the program, concerns, issues, problems, benefits, and how some potential issues may be resolved. Robin Beattie will follow up with the DBA/YLD Committee with questions and concerns the Committee would like addressed.

CBA Website for LPL Insurers: There were also extensive discussions about this proposal, and the preliminary work which has been prepared by Sharon Oliver. The Committee agreed this is a good idea, but refinement would be needed as to what to put on the website, any disclaimers, and some "definitions" for users. The Committee will look into this further.

Whoops!: Joyce Jenkins reported on the progress of Whoops! Although the publication has gone to the printers, apparently no one has received a copy. Chuck Turner will follow up on this for us. The next article is underway.

Joint Task Force re MDPs: Gerald Pratt reported orally and in writing to the Committee about the developments on this issue. The Task Force had a retreat on March 31 and April 1, 2000 and Jerry summarized the Task Force's votes on several issues. The Task Force will submit its report and recommendations to die CBA Board of Governors and the DBA Board of Trustees.

Malpractice Prevention Checklists: From the checklists prepared by Andy Toft, Mike Canges, and others, Robin Beanie has "combined' the general information into a checklist which maybe applicable to all lawyers. The Committee was asked to review the general form and provide comments at the next meeting.

Other matters: There were discussions about other matters, such as the recent Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals' decision regarding lawyers' conduct.

The meeting was adjourned until the next meeting, to be held on May 10, 2000.
