Present at the meeting were John Palmeri, Dan McCune, Chris Little, John Phillips, Dave Little, Liz Starrs, Dave Garner, Chris Buckman, Mike Hutchinson, Mike Ludwig, Julie Revers, Gary Abrams, Jerry Pratt, Mike Canges and Reba Nance.

The Committee is actively involved in the CBA Convention in Keystone. Dave Little and Andy Toft are working with the solo/small firm section on a Friday morning session entitled "Self Defense for Solo and Small Firms." Reba Nance is working with the Law Office Technology Committee on a full day program on Saturday entitled "Making the Most of Law Office Technology." Reba Nance reported on the response to the Whoops survey. Approximately 400 people responded to the survey. Reba distributed a summary of suggested topics for future editions. Copies of the professional liability check list were distributed to the Committee. The Committee agreed to provide comments regarding the checklist to Robin Beattie prior to the September meeting. Chris Buckman introduced Dave Garner with Coregis/Westport. Mr. Garner reported on frequent and severe claims in Colorado. He noted two increasingly common issues: non-traditional relationships among lawyers and ownership in clients. Overall, Mr. Garner was impressed with the quality of Colorado lawyers.

The September meeting has been scheduled for September 13. The October meeting has been moved from its ordinary time on the second Wednesday of the month to Wednesday, October 18 in order to accommodate Jean Younger, with Coregis/Westport, who will address the Committee.
