Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, Inc.
The mission of Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain Inc. (JA) is to give every child a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. JA relies on the success of business professionals and community members to inspire students to reach their full potential. JA's K-12 business and economic curriculum comes to life when volunteers from the business community lead students through JA’s innovative, age-appropriate and hands-on lesson plans. Volunteers teach five to ten, 45-minute lessons while building a rapport with their students. Volunteers act as invaluable role models for students and provide relevance to what students learn; showing students the link between education and future opportunity. During the 2005-06 school year, 3,200 volunteers will teach JA's proven programs to 85,000 young people in 500 schools in Denver and Northern Colorado .
