In November, the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section will feature Andrew Hartman.
Andrew Hartman is a partner at Cooley Godward LLP, one of the largest law firms in the country, and the head of the firm's Litigation Department in Broomfield. Mr. Hartman also heads the Central States Trademark, Copyright and Advertising practice. His practice includes trademark, Internet, false advertising, unfair competition, trade secret and copyright litigation, counseling and prosecution, and advice on brand selection and advertising. His work also includes a significant focus on counseling companies on intellectual property matters related to securities offerings, mergers, acquisitions, financing and other transactions and drafting documentation relating to these transactions.
Mr. Hartman is the adjunct professor of trademarks and unfair competition at the University of Colorado School of Law. Mr. Hartman attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and received a J.D. degree with honors in 1989. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he received an A.B. degree in 1986.
