CBA Lending Library Policy
The Colorado Bar Association owns and maintains an extensive collection of resources pertaining to the law, its practice, and its role in our society. These books, pamphlets, videos and other resources are available for use by lawyers and non-lawyers on a lending basis.
Who May Use the CBA's Lending Library?
Lending privileges for the CBA's Lending Library are extended to members in good standing of the Colorado Bar Association who sign its Checkout Form and Agreement.
What Is the Lending Period?
Books, pamphlets, videos and other resources of the CBA Lending Library may be borrowed for a period of three weeks.
What Is the Cost of Borrowing a Book or Other Resource?
There is no charge for borrowing materials from the CBA Lending Library. However, if the materials must be mailed to the Borrower, a $5 shipping and handling charge will be applied.
What Is the Penalty for Late or Unreturned Borrowed Resources?
If borrowed materials are not returned to the offices of the Colorado Bar Association within 5 working days of the due date, the CBA may charge the Borrower's credit card account for the cost of the book, pamphlet, or other resource. The CBA requires credit card information at the time the materials are requested and stores the information in a secure location. The credit card information is destroyed when the materials are returned to the CBA
How Many Books/Materials May I Check Out at One Time?
We request that you check out a maximum of three materials at one time.
What If the Materials I Want Area Already Checked Out?
We will put you on a waiting list and contact you as soon as the materials are available for checkout again.
