Living Will
Given recent national headlines related to the Schiavo case in Florida, it is imperative that your wishes, or the wishes of your clients, be clearly expressed prior to any event which eliminates the ability to express a position on the type and duration of medical care that may be received. Section 15-18-101, CRS (2004) provides that a "competent adult may accept or reject medical or surgical treatment affecting his person." We have posted a copy of the "Living Will" found in section 15-18-104, CRS (2004) for your review and discussion with your clients.
