Access to Justice Commission

The Colorado Access to Justice Commission is an independent entity formed with the support of the Colorado Supreme Court, the Colorado Bar Association and the Statewide Legal Services Group in 2003.

OUR COURTS COLORADO

Our Courts is a joint activity of the Colorado Judicial Institute and the Colorado Bar Association that provides nonpartisan information programs to audiences around the state to further public knowledge and understanding of the state and federal courts in Colorado.

Our Courts presentations will address the role of fair and impartial courts in applying and preserving the rule of law.

Family Violence Programs

The Colorado Bar Association's Family Violence Program site provides general information on issues of family violence (including child abuse, partner-to-partner abuse, and elder abuse) as well as resources for prevention and intervention of family violence.

Colorado Bar Foundation

The Colorado Bar Foundation, established in 1953 by members of the Colorado Bar Association ("CBA"), promotes the advancement of jurisprudence and the administration of justice in Colorado through grants to help educate the general public and provide assistance to the State's legal institutions.

Legal Aid Foundation

The Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado was established in 1981 to increase and diversify funding to support civil legal services for Colorado's poor and disadvantaged people by providing legal assistance to low-income individuals and families, including senior citizens, disabled people and victims of domestic violence.

COLTAF

Established in 1982 by the Colorado Supreme Court, The Colorado Lawyer Trust Account Foundation (COLTAF) administers Colorado's Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program. This program is an innovative partnership between the legal community and the banking community, whereby the interest on lawyers' pooled trust accounts is used to make grants to improve access to civil justice statewide.
