Availability of Legal Services Committee

This committee works for the expansion of legal services for all people regardless of their ability to pay; encourages lawyers to provide pro bono services; develops proposals to improve systems of low cost legal services; and assists local bar associations with public service programs. It also serves as the umbrella structure for CBA committees whose goals include the availability of legal services. Where appropriate, the committee acts as a resource/advisory panel to such committees.

Current projects of the Availability Committee include the selection of the 2006 Pro Bono Awards recipients and working with the Access to Justice Commission Pro Bono Committee to establish local judicial district Access to Justice Committees statewide.
