"Mission Statement"

The Paralegal Committee is a group of individuals working together for the betterment of the paralegal profession.  The mission of the Paralegal Committee is to support and assist the legal community in providing quality legal services to the community at large and support the continuing education and effective utilization of paralegals.

In carrying out its mission, the committee is guided by the following goals:

  • Monitor issues relevant to the legal and paralegal professions.
  • Cooperate with other community, legal and paralegal organizations to achieve common goals in providing quality legal services to the community.
  • Develop a plan for long-term growth of the profession and its use by the legal community and community at large.
  • Provide leadership to the profession by maintaining the highest ethical standards.
  • Promote professional recognition of paralegals.

The Paralegal Committee completed the second revision of the Guidelines for the Utilization of Paralegals which were formally approved at the Spring Meeting of the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors on May 17, 2008.  Click here to review the revised Guidelines.
