Frequently Asked Questions and Information for the Young Lawyer
How many Continuing Legal Education ("CLE") credits do I have to earn, and how much time do I have to earn them?
You must earn forty-five general credits over a compliance period of three calendar years. Seven of these credits must be in legal ethics. All newly admitted attorneys must satisfy four of the seven hour legal ethics requirement by completing the Colorado Bar Association's Mandatory Course on Professionalism during their first compliance period. The initial compliance period for newly admitted attorneys includes the balance of the year in which they are admitted plus the three subsequent calendar years.
