*** New Colorado Court Fees as of July 1, 2007
There will be changes in Colorado court filing fees, surcharges and costs, effective July 1, 2007. Click here for full details

*** Service for Larry Manzanares
A memorial service for Larry Manzanares will be Friday, June 29, 1:30 p.m., at University Park United Methodist Church, 2180 S. University Blvd., in Denver. Check the DBA and CBA websites in the next few days for an online opportunity to share your personal stories.

*** Medical Benefits Eligibility Program - Tomorrow
This CBA-CLE program on June 27, 9 a.m.-3:50 p.m., will cover medical benefit programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, Long-Term Care Insurance, CoverColorado and the Medically Indigent Program. The program faculty will cover practical information to provide you with a more thorough knowledge of the medical benefits available for your clients, including recent changes in the law. *** DBA Seniors Golf Tournament
The DBA Seniors Committee annual golf tournament will be Wednesday, July 25, at the Homestead Golf Course, 11500 W. Hampden Ave. An informal lunch is at noon; tee-off is at 1 p.m. Cost is $45, which includes greens fees, cart, prizes and lunch. RSVP by July 16 to Mindy Marks, mmarks@cobar.org or (303) 824-5312. *** Waterman Trust Fund Administrator Needed
The DBA Waterman Trust Fund is seeking an attorney to serve as one of five administrators to assist in managing the Waterman Trust Fund, which provides grants to members of the Colorado Bar who are "aged, infirmed or otherwise incapacitated." The Waterman Trust Fund meets once a month for a one- to two-hour meeting. Attorney applicants must be a member of the Denver Bar Association and willing to serve a 5-year term. *** Sentencing Solutions
Save the date for the CBA Criminal Sentencing Project's "Open Discussion on Colorado's New Sentencing Commission" on Friday, July 27, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. The keynote speaker is Rep. Roger Goodman, Washington State representative and former director of the WA State Sentencing Commission. Other speakers include Rep. Terrance Carroll, Senior Judge Ken Plotz, Jeanne Smith (Criminal Justice Division), Phil Cherner and Christie Donner. CLE credit will be requested. More details to follow.

*** TV Special on Justice White Features Local Attorneys
Davis Graham & Stubbs has assisted in planning a Fox Sports Net/Rocky Mountain special program featuring the career and life of former U.S. Supreme Court Justice (and DGS attorney) Byron White. The FSN program, "Spotlight: Byron White," will air Tuesday, July 3, at approximately 9:30 p.m. (following the Colorado Rockies game), on Channel 26 for most of the Denver area. Don Hoagland, Bob Harry, Tenth Circuit Judge David Ebel, Judge Neil Gorsuch, Phillip Weiser, and Justice White's children, Barney and Nancy, were all interviewed for the segment.
