*** Legal Aid Foundation Fiesta Tomorrow
Don’t forget to get your tickets to the 13th annual Wine & Beer Tasting to benefit Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado. Held in collaboration with the DBA’s Young Lawyers Division, this year’s Latin-Flavored Fiesta will be Wednesday, Oct. 18, 5:30–7:30 p.m., at La Rumba (99 W. 9th Ave.). Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door, and $25 for Young Lawyers. *** Mix and Mingle with Judges Saturday
The DBA’s Annual Bench-Bar Retreat is this Saturday, Oct. 21, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., at the Inverness Hotel. The topic will be: “Mending Justice.” Don’t miss these speakers: former Justice Rebecca Love Kourlis, Rep. Terrance Carroll, Justice Greg Hobbs and Judge Andrew Armatas.

*** Denver Courthouse Cafeteria Re-opens!
The Denver courthouse announced that the cafeteria opened Oct. 16. Hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. — “to start with." Be sure to check out the new changes!

*** 2006 Employment Law Conference
Colorado Bar Association CLE's Annual Employment Law Conference is back! This annual conference is the most comprehensive of its kind in the Rocky Mountain Region and features current hot topics, important updates and valuable practice advice. *** CBA Seeks Vice President from Denver
The DBA Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for the office of CBA vice president from the CBA's First District (Denver). The vice president will represent the DBA on the CBA Executive Council and Board of Governors for a one-year term. Nominations should be sent to Committee Chair Joe Dischinger at jdischinger@fwlaw.com by Nov. 3.

*** CoLA Martini Night at the Art Students League of Denver
Colorado Lawyers for the Arts will host a Martini Night at the Art Students League of Denver, 200 Grant St., on Friday, Oct. 20, 6–8:30 p.m. Admission is $25 for attorneys and $10 for artists. *** DU in Need of Moot Court Judges
The Moot Court Board at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law is holding its Daniel S. Hoffman Trial Advocacy Competition this weekend, Oct. 20–23, and is in need of attorney judges.
