***April 26 -- Ethics for Trial Attorneys
Join Elizabeth Weishaupl in discussing candor to the tribunal, inadvertent factual errors (a/k/a lies told by clients), and other and assorted ethical facts which are part of the litigation process.
***April 27 -- DBA Young Lawyers Division Coffee Talk: Settlement Negotiations
Learn: how to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your case; how to communicate your assessment of the case to your client; ethical and evidentiary considerations of settlement negotiations; strategies of engaging in and beginning settlement negotiations (i.e. whether to use formal mediation; whether to make the first offer; assessing opposing counsel and opposing party. The program is 8- 9 a.m., 1900 Grant St., Suite 900. Cost is $5 for DBA members, $15 for non-members, continental breakfast included. RSVP by sending a check to DBA Coffee Talk. One general credit has been requested.

***May 10 -- Crimes Lawyers Commit
Hon. Ruthanne Polidori, former Senior District Court Judge, will discuss pitfalls of wiretapping and eavesdropping. One ethics CLE.
***May 17 -- New Rule 16.2
An update on the new rules governing divorce proceedings. The program will include Denver and surrounding area Case Law Management orders. One CLE.
***May 24 -- New Online Law Library: Free for Members!
Come learn about the new online legal research program: Casemaker. Reba Nance, CBA's director of law practice management, will demonstrate how to access case law, Colorado Supreme Court cases decisions back to 1919, Colorado Court of Appeals decisions from 1970, and much more! One CLE.
***May 25 -- DBA YLD Coffee Talk in the Denver Tech Center
"Copyrights 101," is for those in the South Denver/Tech Center area. An encore of our March Coffee Talk, this is a great introduction to, or brush-up on, copyright law. Join colleagues from 8 to 9 a.m. at Montgomery Little and McGrew, 5445 DTC Pkwy Ste 800, Greenwood Village. The cost is $5 for DBA members and $15 for non-members. Continental breakfast included.
