  • The CBA has approximately 17,000 members (includes non-attorney members). 73% of active Colorado attorneys are members of the Colorado Bar Association
  • The CBA has 28 sections and 22 committees, most of which focus on improving Colorado’s laws for the citizens of the state: (link to Section/Committee list).
  • The CBA is governed by its 152-member Board of Governors, and 21-member Executive Council.
  • Lawyers are licensed and regulated through the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation.
    • Search for an attorney on the Court’s website: www.coloradosupremecourt.com. This site will provide you with information on attorney admissions, attorney addresses, attorney disciplinary history, the Rules of Professional Conduct, unauthorized practice of law issues and much more.
    • Call the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel at (303) 866-6400 or toll-free, (877) 888-1370, concerning complaints about lawyers.
  • Judges are evaluated by the Commissions on Judicial Performance: www.cojudicialperformance.com. Judicial discipline (except for magistrates or municipal court judges) is handled by the Commission on Judicial Discipline: (303) 894-2110. (Complaints about a magistrate or municipal court judge are filed with the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel.)
