*** Economic survey next week - a chance to win GPS, camera or iPod
Is your compensation keeping up in Colorado? To find out, complete the 15-minute, confidential, 2008 CBA Economic Survey when it is e-mailed to members next week. The survey also will be posted at www.cobar.org on Tuesday, May 20. The more respondants we have, the more accurate the survey results will be. Responders have a chance to win a GPS tracking device, a brand new digital camera or an iPod! All active Colorado lawyers are encouraged to complete the anonymous survey online, or print and mail it directly to the survey processor in Michigan. Check results from the 2000 survey. Questions? *** Tip of the week
Do you ever open Windows Explorer to look for a file or to change the look of each folder, only to see it revert to the old view the next time you open the folder? In addition to the usual column headings, would you like the list of documents to also include "Date Created" and "Author"? Would you like the "Name" of the document to be listed first, then the "Date Modified" followed by "Type" of document?
You can customize all folder formats on your PC. Open a folder in Windows Explorer (right click on "Start"; then click on "Explorer"). Click on "View" and "Details." The files are arranged in a vertical list, with the file details in columns. To move an existing column, simply click and drag it. To add or delete a detail column, right click on any column heading and then check the details you want to see. To make your customized look appear in all folders, click on "Tools," then "Folder Options," and then "View." Click on "Apply to All Folders" and then click "OK". You can opt for advanced view settings by using the checkboxes.
