*** E-Discovery: Don’t worry, here’s help
Electronic discovery issues likely will have the most impact on the practice of law in the next five years, according to national surveys. The University of Denver’s Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System offers two new publications. “The Emerging Challenge of Electronic Discovery: Strategies for American Businesses” offers strategies to proactively prepare for e-discovery. “Electronic Discovery: A View form the Front Lines” presents a real-time snapshot of today’s e-discovery landscape. Download both for free here.

*** Improve your practice and increase your business
Have you been to recently? The CBA Web site is continuously evolving. Some recent additions include: paralegal guideline updates, an updated CBA president's visits tour schedule and Casemaker updates. Surf the site for other tools that are tailored to your practice. Be sure to update your profile in the Find-A-Lawyer Directory, which consistently receives the top number of hits each month.

*** Time to join a new committee
The new fiscal year is a great time to start participating in CBA committees that pique your interest. Once you're on a committee, however, you do not need to sign up again. To find out more about the CBA committees or to sign up, please go to the Committees page on our Web site. Questions? Contact Melissa Nicoletti at

***  More improvements on Casemaker
Good news! Casemaker has a new high-definition search algorithm for the database, which helps identify and replace missing cases, mistyped cites, missing links, and duplicated slip/advance opinions. Casemaker recently finished "scrubbing" the state libraries and is now working on the federal library. You should find a vastly improved product. If you believe an opinion is missing from the Casemaker Library, please report it immediately to the Casemaker Hotline,, (303) 860-1115 or (800) 332-6736.
