*** Faculty of Federal Advocates Board seats open
Nominations are due Oct. 1 for three seats on the Faculty of Federal Advocates Board of Directors. The three-year terms begin in January 2009. Review the FFA’s Diversity Mission Statement and submit a Board of Directors Application, which may be downloaded from the FFA Web site. Board members must attend monthly meetings, serve on at least one subcommittee and help place counsel. Candidates must be elected by the general membership. Starting this week, CBA will link from to a new, online publication called “The Complete Lawyer." The site features law firm management tips, career options, wealth management strategies specifically for lawyers, as well as news of trends affecting Colorado attorneys. Look a little further and you’ll find multi-generational advice, humor, marketing strategies and personal advice columns from lawyers who’ve been there. Let us know what you think!

*** Lending Library closed for September
The CBA Lending Library will be closed during the month of September to re-inventory all publications and videos, and to migrate the inventory to a new, efficient library software application. If you currently hold CBA Lending Library materials, please return them to the CBA offices as soon as possible. We'll be back up and running in October! If you aren't familiar with the CBA's Lending Library, visit the Web site. There you will find information about the Lending Library, including the current inventory, as well as the ABA Book Selling Program. We carry practice management materials, but no substantive law materials and no CBA-CLE publications. Best of all, we sell ABA books at a 20 percent discount to CBA members.
