The CBA is pleased to add a FREE training class for e-filing in 2009: Colorado Court of Appeals. Times for all classes have changed. Classes are always on the first Monday of each month, unless it falls on a holiday. Each class carries two general CLE credits, and support staff is always welcome. The Dolls for Daughters toy drive was a huge success, reports the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Thanks to all of the CBA members who contributed! In conjunction with the Children’s Home organization, dolls will be distributed at the Park Hill United Methodist Church, this Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m., to girls coping with homelessness, poverty, abuse or neglect. The program was created in memory of Kenzi Bachus, the daughter of CTLA member Kyle Bachus.

*** CLE: Preventing Legal Malpractice
This year’s theme will focus on planning for disasters, both the internal and external variety. The faculty will address ways in which attorneys should be thinking about how to handle a variety of situations, from the loss of an entire office to loss of confidence in a partner. Additionally, popular topics such as legal updates and insurance issues will be addressed. This CBA-CLE program has three dates to choose from: Jan. 29 and Feb. 20 in Denver and Jan. 30 in Colorado Springs. Register online: Preventing Legal Malpractice.

The Anti-Defamation League’s Civil Rights Award Luncheon is Tuesday, Jan. 27.
