*** Pro Bono Spotlight
Metro Volunteer Lawyers needs an attorney to help a disabled client probate her mother’s estate. The client is one of four heirs and the only property is a home in Sterling. The client lives in Section 8 housing and has some concerns about losing her benefits. Contact Patricia Trujillo at (303) 866-9307 or patt@denbar.org if you are interested in helping this client. A message from Executive Director of MVL Dianne Van Voorhees: MVL relies entirely on volunteers to provide pro bono services to needy metro area clients. This year, Steuben’s restaurant in Denver has donated $30 gift certificates to MVL so that we can use them to recruit new volunteers and also provide a few extraordinary volunteers with an extra “thank you.” In March, our first three volunteer attorneys to take a new MVL case will each receive a $30 gift certificate to Steuben’s, 523 East 17th Ave. If you would like to volunteer to take a case on a pro bono basis, contact Patricia Trujillo at patt@denbar.org. Thank you to Steuben’s and to all of our volunteers!
