*** Pro Bono Spotlight
Metro Volunteer Lawyers needs an attorney to help a disabled client with a car warranty problem. The client purchased a car and extended warranty in October 2007. In November 2007 the car needed repairs and the client returned the car where she purchased it and was told she would have to pay $500 for a diagnostic test. She was assured that the warranty would cover the cost of this test and later was denied coverage under her warranty. Contact Patricia Trujillo at email@example.com or (303) 866-9307 if you are willing to help this client.
*** Barristers Benefit Ball
Invitations for the Barristers Benefit Ball, May 3, are in the mail! This fundraiser, benefiting Metro Volunteer Lawyers, is a fabulous event where lawyers and guests enjoy an evening of dining, dancing and gaming. For more information, contact Dana Collier Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.

*** Access to Justice Report Released
The Colorado Access to Justice Commission released its report, "The Justice Crisis in Colorado," on the need for legal assistance for Colorado’s most vulnerable populations. Many Coloradans who need legal assistance to secure and maintain health care, housing, custody and other necessities do not receive help. This report compiles testimony from underserved populations during 10 hearings throughout the state during 2007. A link to the report can be found by clicking here.
