*** Stepping Into the Schools — A new initiative is taking hold!
DBA leaders are knocking on doors in an exciting new initiative to get 150–200 attorneys volunteering in the classrooms of Denver Public Schools as substitute teachers. DPS desperately needs about 400 subs per day — we hope to help out. Attorneys can pick a day ahead of time to substitute teach any grade, K-12. An optional training session is available. DPS will process volunteer applications. Just call DPS Legal Assistant Tiffany Lambalot at (720) 423-3398. Details here

*** Sign up your firm by tomorrow for the Toothbrush Drive
The Annual Toothbrush Drive to benefit Kids In Need of Dentistry is Feb. 9–13. Sign up your firm by Wednesday, Feb. 4 and be part of the DBA’s Community Action Network event. Click here to get started.

*** Time to tally your firm’s 2008 pro bono hours
If your firm in 2008 performed 50 hours of pro bono legal services per attorney, on average, please notify Justice Greg Hobbs by Feb. 15 at gregory.hobbs@judicial.state.co.us, so that the Colorado Supreme Court can recognize your achievement. For details on which hours qualify, click here. Please join the list of participating firms.
