If you will think about what you ought to do for other people, your character will take care of itself.
~Woodrow Wilson

Pro Bono Spotlight

(The following article is from Karen Detmers with the Pro Bono Project. Also attached at the end of this newsletter is information regarding Pro Bono’s next fundraiser.)

Taking on a pro bono case is a great way to help someone in need, develop your legal skills, and to meet other players in the legal field. If you are wondering how you can make time for pro bono work or are unsure about where to begin, please call 424-5748. We can use your help!

The Pro Bono Project recognizes the following lawyers for their participation for taking cases, teaching clinics, and most importantly, the giving of their time during the first quarter of 2013. Their cooperation and dedication have enabled this program to provide legal assistance to those who otherwise could not afford legal services:

Gregory J. Mueller
James W. Giese
Sean Goodbody
Annie D. Murphy
Sharon A. Sturges

Kay Snider
Drew Moore
Phillip J. Jones
Gerald Feather

We also want to thank the attorneys who helped with the January and March Call-A-Lawyer program:

Gregory J. Mueller
James W. Giese
Sean Goodbody
Annie D. Murphy
Sharon A. Sturges

Kay Snider
Drew Moore
Phillip J. Jones
Gerald Feather

Are you a blogger? We could use your help! The Pro Bono Project has a blog at Mesaprobonoproject@blogspot.com. This blog is intended to get information out on important legal issues that affect many low-income individuals. If you would like to contribute an article, please call 424-5748.

On Friday, June 14, support the Pro Bono Project while showing off your bowling moves. Click here to learn more and register.
