How to Grow Your Practice in a Down Economy, Jan. 31
Most lawyers don’t think of themselves as businesspeople—and that’s the problem. To build a successful practice, you must be skilled in business, not just the law. This program will teach you what you weren't taught in law school. How to Grow Your Practice in a Down Economy is a free 60-minute seminar, developed specifically for the legal profession. It will introduce you to proven business solutions and tools. The program is presented by Pam and Scott Lippitt, Certified Business/Executive Coaches & Master Franchisees for Colorado Mars Venus Coaching. Click here for more information. To RSVP e-mail lunches@cobar.org or call 303-860-1115 ext. 727.

CBA YLD will host a collection drive during the last weeks of February. Collections will take place throughout the metro Denver area and can be dropped off at the CBA offices. If you would like to get involved or have an interest in hosting a collection location, please contact Denise Lynch at dlynch@cobar.org or Carlos Migoya at carlos@ensuringjustice.com.

Be Recognized for Your Pro Bono Achievement
Be recognized by the Colorado Supreme Court for your firm or in-house counsel group’s pro bono achievement. Each year, the Supreme Court recognizes law firms and in-house counsel groups that commit to an annual goal of 50 hours of pro bono legal services, averaged across the firm each year for its Colorado-licensed attorneys and pro-rated for part-time attorneys primarily assisting the indigent and/or nonprofit organizations that serve the indigent. It awards certificates signed by the justices to those firms and in-house counsel groups that achieved this goal in the prior calendar year and lists your firm or group on the judicial Web page.
If your firm or in-house counsel group met the goal in calendar year 2010 or if your firm or group would like to make the annual commitment starting this year, please notify Justice Greg Hobbs by Feb. 15 at gregory.hobbs@judicial.state.co.us.
